Imagination is a Stepping Stone to Emotional Awareness

My Professional Literary Arts Portfolio

Home: Welcome

Both thinking and acting are not solely sufficient. It is just as crucial to simply exist. Hence such an existence justifies all thought and action.

Enjoy!

Forever Flowing

Mar 12, 2019  The Coterie: The Undergraduate English Society at Western University

Like a stream of water,

In a constant state of transition,

Yet constantly at ease...

Nothing is simple…

Nothing is difficult…

Just be.

The Muddled Depths of the Clear Blue Water

Rooted in the mud in the muddled depths of the pond,

Yet constantly changing with every ripple in the water…

Lotus flowers drifted across the calm clear blue water,

Masked by the scent of jasmine disappearing into the breeze…

Lilypads overlapped each other,

Buds bumped into full blooms,

Stiffly held hands clasped one another,

Till death do us apart…

The Trees that Fell at Fall

we are as trees that fell their leaves in fall;
bare brown branches entwine…
each twig connects to a branch which interwove with another twig from another branch
with a likeness to a cunning spider who weaves another web while
the trees swayed to a summer breeze;
such are the passions that send colourless tears streaming down our faces;
neither end or beginning is fathomable and both abhorrently absurd
so we try so arduously to find all the leaves that flew from the branches;
bottomless worry leads to one tear after another, tearing our hearts apart;
the pieces were like the leaves that fell at fall...

And So Bloomed the Rose

The Coterie: The Undergraduate English Society at Western University. December 2020

The Rose blushed red in the moonlight,

Its beauty wafted through the evening breeze…

Though protected by thorns,

The Rose was grasped by one who’s heart was in full bloom,

And so bloomed the Rose…

The stem grasped with such softness…

Softer than snow drifting past one’s uncovered wrist,

Yet with warmth lit by the passion that blazed in his heart,

And so bloomed the Rose…

The heavens poured out their joy and they were both drenched in tears.

Not a single petal any less beautiful through every passing day, month, year…

The Rose was grasped by one who’s heart was in full bloom,

And so bloomed the Rose…

Of Course We Love the Self-Love Movement

They went from

Woman

 to

Woman

From Man

to

Man

Their heart aching for completion,

Their body aching for pleasure…

Lost and Lonely,

They peered at their reflection in a pool of water.

Rain and sweat blurred their vision,

narcissus flowers danced to the breeze.

A self-interested person who

Falls in

and out

of love

can only

Love themselves!
